Discover Leeds: City Walking Tour
Thursday 18th September 5pm
Meet in Central Village Courtyard. Sign up is required.
Meet new people from your accommodation and discover more of Leeds City Centre.

How this event will run: This is an optional event and sign up is required via the form linked on this page. You will be greeted by your warden and set off on a walk around Leeds. This event will allow you to learn more about Leeds and provide an opportunity to meet students also living in Central Village. You will need to join the event at the start time of 5pm.

Mandatory Welcome Talk for Blocks A, B & C
Monday September 22nd 7 pm - 9 pm
The Refectory, LUU
Welcome talks from your warden followed by a free meal in The Refectory
Entry to venue: The Refectory is accessible via a ramp at the front entrance, and inside the venue there is step free access throughout.
 
Accessible toilet: An accessible toilet is located inside Leeds University Union in the foyer area, near to the Refectory.
How this event will run: This talk from your Residence Life Warden involves a presentation for approximately an hour which explains important information about living in residences, support and opportunities. This event will include dinner and drinks and will encourage socialising, chatting and meeting other people from your residence. The talk is mandatory for all residents. 
Quiet space if needed:  Meeting Room 1, accessible by a lift outside the Refectory.

Sunday 28th September 6pm - 7pm

Information session to find out more about becoming a part of the Residence Life social Committee for Central Village
Central Village Common Room is fully wheelchair accessible.
How this event will run: This is an optional event tickets are not required, run by the Central Village Wardens. At this event you will hear essential information about joining the Residence Life Social Committee Programme. At the end of the presentation the warden will be able to answer any questions you may have.
Board games Night
Tuesday 30th September 7pm

Meet new people from your accommodation and play boardgames

How this event will run: This is an optional event and tickets are not required. You will be able to join at any time, and you can expect a chill evening with a range of boardgames. You can choose what games to take part in and you will be able to leave at any time.

Guide Dogs Visit
Thursday 2nd October 4.30pm - 6pm

Come and meet retired guide dogs for some pet therapy!
Central Village Common Room is fully wheelchair accessible.
How this event will run: This is an optional event and tickets are not required. At this event you can expect to meet 2 or 3 guide dogs. You will be able to socialise with the dogs and pet them. You will be able to join at any time between 4:30pm - 6pm and you can leave at any time.
